Authentic Vedic astrology for every Indian on Earth, calculated from your actual sunrise, not converted from IST.
An Indian in New York opens a popular Vedic astrology app. The Rahu Kaal shows 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM. But that's the IST time, it's actually 9:00 PM – 10:30 PM in New York. Planning decisions, completely wrong.
Every major Indian astrology app, no exception, converts its timings from IST. For the 32 million Indians living outside India, this is fundamentally broken. We built CosmosPandit to fix this, once and for all.
Rahu Kaal is 1/8th of your local daytime, starting from today's astronomical sunrise at your exact coordinates. We use Jean Meeus precision algorithms, the gold standard in positional astronomy, not IST conversion shortcuts.
From Dubai to Dallas, London to Melbourne, every calculation uses your city's exact latitude, longitude and IANA timezone. When DST changes in New York or Sydney, our timings adjust automatically. Always correct.
Hindi, English, Gujarati, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, Punjabi and Marathi, with authentic script and tone for each. Not a translation. Each language has its own Vedic persona, vocabulary and cultural context built in.
Panchang, Rahu Kaal, AI Rashifal, Kundli, Kundli Matching, Festival Calendar, Muhurat Finder, all free, all ad-supported. Vedic wisdom should not be behind a paywall. We believe in honest, accessible astrology.
Pure astronomical algorithms, not lookup tables. Rahu Kaal is computed fresh for every city, every day, from actual local sunrise.
Every Indian abroad deserves correct timings in their own language. We exist for the 32 million who have been underserved by IST-only apps.
Panchang, Kundli, Rashifal, Rahu Kaal, all free, all ad-supported. Vedic wisdom should never be locked behind a paywall.
CosmosPandit publishes the tools and guides on this site. Use our contact page to report an incorrect timing, translation, source or broken page. Include the page URL, selected city, date and the source you used for comparison so the difference can be investigated.
City pages use that city's coordinates and timezone. Sunrise and sunset define the local solar day; Rahu Kaal divides its daylight interval into eight parts and selects the part associated with the weekday. Tithi describes the Sun–Moon angular separation, while Nakshatra follows the Moon's position. These are different calculations: shifting an Indian time by a timezone offset does not reproduce another city's sunrise-based timings.
Check the city, local date and timezone first. Calendars may use different astronomical approximations, sunrise definitions, rounding, lunar-month conventions or observance rules. At high latitudes, sunrise-based windows may not be available on every date. Festival observance can also follow a family's, temple's or regional tradition; confirm important ceremonies with the institution involved.
The site includes AI-assisted horoscope and article content. AI output can contain mistakes; it does not establish professional credentials, scientific validation or a guarantee about personal events. A publisher attribution identifies responsibility for the page and is not a claim that a qualified astrologer reviewed it. Article-specific dates and sources should be checked before applying a guide to another city or year.
